Testing and Certification facilities
As the only manufacturer of electric motors in Australia, CMG’s ISO 9001 accredited operations manufacture more than half of its motors. Leading edge equipment and automated processes provide this sustainable advantage.

Certification of CMG’s product ranges sold around the world is carried out within the CMG Technology laboratory, located in Rowville, Victoria Australia.

The company boasts the only NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) accredited motor and drive testing laboratory in Australia. NATA accreditation is internationally recognised through a Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). This world class facility is used by external clients, as well as providing CMG with a distinct advantage in its pursuits to further develop its holding company’s own product and service offerings.

To further enhance our competitive edge all of the CMG International offices are either already certified or in the process of being certified by either Testsafe Australia or SIRA of the UK. These certifications enable CMG international branches to modify standard motors to meet the hazardous location motor requirements of the local market, together with ATEX, SABS and Lloyd’s Register Type Approval certified products.

Type Approval raises awareness of key issues and best-practice benchmarks in emerging manufacturing countries and helps to improve product quality.

Purchasers of products need to be confident that the suppliers they select are capable of providing the required standard of components. CMG has always prided itself on a commitment to delivering not only the most suitable product, but the highest standard of product, available for the specific job.
